Yanui (Yanui Beach) is a small, cozy and the southernmost beach of Phuket Island, which stands out for its picturesqueness.
Yanui Beach is located in a secluded bay between rocks in the southwestern part of Phuket between the beaches of Nai Harn and Rawai.
Due to the rocky formations and green hills surrounding the beach and going into the sea waters, as well as the abundance of greenery, Yanui Beach is very picturesque.
Approaching Yanui from the side of Rawai Beach, you can see beautiful views of Yanui Beach and the surrounding area.
The length of Yanui Beach is just over 100 meters.
At the peak of the high season, the beach can be crowded, and in the lower tourist season there are fewer vacationers.
Visually, the beach is divided into two parts by a small rocky ledge, similar to a small island connected to the beach by a piece of land.
The sand on the beach is fine, light and pleasant to the touch.
The entrance to the sea is gentle, the bottom is sandy, further from the shore there are stones at the bottom.
The sea water is clean and transparent, so that even near the shore or at the rocky southern part of the beach, fish can be seen. The southern part of Yanui Beach, at the place where the rocks and the rocky coast begin, is suitable for snorkeling.
The northern part of the beach is larger than the southern one.
In this part of the beach, you can rent sunbeds and mats and umbrellas from the sun.
Near the beach, in a shady area, under the crowns of trees, you can hide from the hot sun.
There are also free places where you can park your bike and car.
There is a passing road behind the beach strip.
There are several atmospheric cafes on the opposite side of the road from the beach.
Due to its modest size and, accordingly, the lack of a developed tourist infrastructure, Yanui Beach can be called "wild". There are no shops, markets, bars, tour desks, exchangers and any entertainment. Everything is very simple. But, despite this, Yanui beach is quite attractive and very picturesque.
In the immediate vicinity of Yanui Beach there is only one attraction - the Yanui observation deck "Windmill" (Yanui view point, Windmill viewpoint).
The observation deck is located on the northern hill relative to the beach and it is clearly visible directly from the beach.
You can get to the observation deck by bike, or on foot in 10-15 minutes, if you follow the road from the beach towards Nai Harn Beach. The road is quite convenient.
Landmark - windmill (wind power generator)
Near the observation deck there are a couple of small retail outlets where you can buy ice cream, fruits and soft drinks.
Yanui view point offers magnificent views of Yanui Beach itself, part of Nai Harn Beach, green hills Phuket and the endless waters of the Andaman Sea.
Near Yanui Beach, at a distance of 900 meters, if you move towards Rawai Beach, there is another visited attraction of the island - Promthep Cape with an observation deck of the same name and Phra Phrom Square.Learn more about Promtep Cape, observation deck, views, area and how to get there...
