Terra Mitica, Benidorm amusement Park and theme

Terra Mitica is a famous theme park in Benidorm, which is the hallmark of Benidorm and the entire Costa Blanca. This park was opened in 2000 and immediately gained popularity, both among local residents and guests of the city. Currently, the park is visited annually by a huge number of tourists.

Naturally, we could not pass by the park and looked into its territory.

Although the park has an area of more than 100 hectares, but we would call it not very large, many attractions are somewhat primitive, there are also those that you want to ride several times.

Someone said that it is better to allocate two days to visit the park, we doubt this statement very much, it seems to us that one day is enough for a full visit to the park, and in the low season, when there are no queues, half a day may be enough. But the fact that the park will be interesting not only for children, but also for adults is absolutely true.

Terra Mitica

The Terra Mitica amusement park is divided into several thematic zones: Egypt, Greece and Rome. The Iberia Park with islands is singled out separately. We personally believe that it was superfluous to divide the park into two, currently this division creates inconveniences.

In 2017, the Iberia and Islands zones were available from July 8 to August 31, so we did not get to Iberia in May, but the ticket then cost a little cheaper than in the months of July - August.

The ticket gives the right to unlimited riding on all attractions, the only thing is that you will have to stand in line from those who want to get to this or that attraction. In the month of May, the park was not crowded and quite free, there were practically no queues, the longest queue was a maximum of 10-15 people.

The park is ennobled, each zone is pleasantly stylized. There are fountains, paths, places to relax, flowers and other decorations that correspond to a particular zone.

On the territory of the park, during the day, various performances are held, all of them are bright, lively and fascinating. Some of them tell legends about the exploits of Hercules, others are entertaining, others are for children, etc. You can find out the schedule of all show programs from the leaflets that are issued at the entrance to the park.

The most exciting attractions were:

Cataratas Del Nilo. Roller coaster on the water in the sarcophagi of the Pharaoh. It is best to sit in the first row of the sarcophagus, so you will get the most thrills and you will be doused with water most of all)) Pretty fun

Titanide. A roller coaster, during the journey on which the trailers gain speed up to 100 km / h with 360-degree turns (you are flying upside down) and free fall. The whole flight takes only 35 seconds, during which you get a lot of impressions and adrenaline. We have ridden this slide three times.

Inferno. Also, the similarity of American cities, during the movement of which, you go up, forward, upside down, rotate and feel like a ball flying at a speed of 60 km / h.

Minotaur Maze-feel like a sniper! The attraction is suitable for both children and adults. During a trip in a special trailer through a dark maze, you need to shoot laser pistols at various targets that will move and make ominous sounds, causing fear and terror to their visitors.

Cinema simulator 5D. During the session, you are shaking and shaking, air and water are hitting your legs, and special glasses create the illusion of reality, wearing which you fully immerse yourself in a fascinating fantasy world that subtly borders on reality.

There is also a roller coaster, colliding cars and a free fall tower (a copy of the phoenix flight, only for toddlers) for children.

But the largest wooden slides in Europe did not work during our visit to the park. We don't know if they work at all.

On the territory of Terra Mitica Park there are recreation areas, toilets and a medical center. There are souvenir shops, cafes and eateries where you can sit down, relax, drink coffee or a cocktail and refresh yourself.

There are various tickets to the park: tickets for one day; half-day-from 15: 00 hours; family tickets; tickets for the company of adults.

Tickets can be purchased both at the ticket offices of the park (on the spot), and in advance-online. Buying tickets online is more cost-effective, about 5 Euros per person. The cost also depends on the time when you are going to visit the park. So we bought online two adult tickets for 1 day of visiting in May at a price of 34 Euros per ticket, at the entrance they cost 39 euros. In July-August, such tickets online cost 49 Euros-adult and 35 Euros - children's tickets, respectively 54 and 38 Euros at the box office.

You can also purchase combined tickets with visits to several parks:

- Terra Mitica + Aqualandia + MundoMar;

- Terra Mitica + Aqualandia;
