Konyaalti Street, Antalya (Konyaaltı Caddesi) - panoramic route from the old town to the beach

Konyaalti Street (Konyaaltı Caddesi) is one of the most picturesque, interesting and popular streets in Antalya.

Konyaalti Street has a length of one and a half kilometers, and stretches from Jumhuriyet Street (Republic Street, Cumhuriyet Caddesi), which runs along the old town of Kaleici, to Konyaalti Beach and beach Park, which is the longest and best beach in Antalya.

This street is very popular among the guests of the city, as it is a walking route from the old town of Antalya (city center) to the beach. In addition, this path is very picturesque - part of the way lies near a steep rocky shore, coming close to the sea waters, and from which beautiful panoramic views open.

Pedestrian sidewalks and a roadway run along the entire Konyaalti Street. Public buses run along the street and retro tram "Nostalgji".

On one side of the street there are houses, and on the other (from the sea) there are few buildings with shops and cafes, park areas, fountains and panoramic terraces. Also here, by the rocky coast, there are panoramic restaurants.

Parks with terraces along Konyaalti Street

The park on the cliff of Yavuz Ozcan (Yavuz Ozcan parkı) with flower beds, places to relax and a fountain.

The park is decorated with a large equestrian statue of Anatolian Suljuk Sultan Giyaseddin Keyhusrev I (Seljuk Sultan Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev I).

The park offers beautiful panoramic views.

On the rocky cliffs, just below the main part of the Yavuz Ozjan Park, terraces are equipped with views of the Mediterranean Sea, rocky shores, the old port and the old city of Antalya.

Ataturk Park (Atatürk Parkı) with green areas, a small lunapark (Aktur Lunapark Atatürk Parkı), a sculptural fountain on a panoramic terrace with places to relax, as well as panoramic restaurants with terraces located directly near a rocky cliff.

Konyaalti Street ends near the Konyaalti Large Viewing Terrace (Konyaaltı Büyük Seyir Terası), which offers stunning panoramic views of the sea, Konyaalti beach, the coastal park area and mountain peaks.

There is a panoramic cafe near the observation deck. More about the viewing terrace and the panoramic cafe…

On the opposite side of Konyaalti Street from the observation terrace (from the city side) there is Antalya Archaeological Museum (Antalya Arkeoloji Müzesi), which is considered one of the leading museums not only in Turkey, but also around the world, and is one of the masterpieces of its kind.

The museum contains historical artifacts (sculptures, vases, coins, icons, mosaics and other items) from the Lower Paleolithic to the Roman period. More about the Antalya Archaeological Museum…

Further, from the Large viewing Terrace, along a winding street with stairs, you can go down to the beach and Konyaalti Beach Park. More about Konyaalti Beach…
