Germasogeia (Yermasoyia, Greek name Γερμασόγεια) is an independent municipality located in the district of Limassol and functioning as an Eastern suburb of Limassol.
Germasogeia is located between the municipalities of Agios Athanasios - from the Western side coast and Mouttagiakia in the East.
Germasogeia village was fortified in the medieval period by the knights Templar. In 1968 was built the dam of Germasogeia (Germasogeia reservoir), located in the North-Eastern part of the municipality.
Currently, Germasogeia, along with the municipality of Agios Tychonas, is considered the best place in the district of Limassol.

Lifeguards with lifesaving equipment and services for first aid are on duty at the beaches from April to October from 09:00 to 17:00 hours to 18:00 hours in the peak summer season.
Dasoudi Beach
In the Western coast of Germasogeia is the Dasoudi beach.
The beach has been awarded the "Blue flag" - the signs of the purity and quality of beaches and seawater.

For Dasoudi beach, East along the coast, there is a long strip of beach, along which, almost in a single series lined up hotels and, mainly, dwelling house, in which you can rent an apartment overlooking the Mediterranean sea and direct beach access.

The above line of beaches, walking and driving road (Προμαχών Ελευθερίας / Gregoriou), along which: the abundance of cafes, restaurants, bars and small shops are also public transport plying in the city centre of Limassol and next along the Eastern coast area of Limassol.
At the Eastern tip of the municipality Germasogeia, almost on the border with Mouttagiakia on Ariadnis street, are two large supermarkets: Metro and Lidl.
What to do in Germasogeia
Lunapark (Oasis Luna Park), located near the street Gregoriou, in the Eastern part of the Germasogeia.
Park "Cyprus land" is a theme Park where you can get acquainted with the history, culture and traditions of the island of Cyprus. In the Park there are workshops of traditional Cypriot crafts, to manufacture tools and household items, lace, mosaic, pottery, glass, olive oil and honey.

Reservoir Germasogeia. Along the reservoir of Germasogeia transit routes for Hiking, there are observation decks of the yacht club and picnic areas.
In the presence of permissive licenses in the reservoir you can fish. Say caught: carp, catfish, Rudd, roach, perch, largemouth bass, and other freshwater fish species.
The surrounding area:
- the historical center of Limassol town: the port, the waterfront Molos, Limassol castle and the old town;

How to get to Germasogeia, Limassol
From airports Paphos or Larnaca can be reached by public buses to the centre of Limassol, or directly to the hotel by rented car or taxi. Car hire in Cyprus...

From the centre of Limassol
You can get on 30 bus linking the shopping center MY MALL Limassol with the municipality of Pyrgos. The bus passes the New port, Old port, Limassol Marina, followed by travel along the coast, passing the district of Amathus and the surrounding area of the coast. This bus line is one of the most convenient and popular routes among tourists in Limassol. The fare is € 1.50. A day ticket is 5 Euro.
