Polis, Cyprus (Polis Chrysochous)

Polis or Polis Chrysochous (Polis / Polis Chrysochous, in Greek the name Πόλη Χρυσοχούς or Πόλις Χρυσοχούς) is a small town that is part of the Pafos district, located in the North-West coast of the island of Cyprus, at the centre of Chrysochous Bay (Chrysochous Bay).

Polis is a quiet tourist resort. There is no abundance of attractions, as well as happening nightlife. Rest in the Policy will be calm and measured, because the Polis and the surrounding area has kept its pristine virginity, and the color and atmosphere of a true Cypriot coastal settlements.

The main source of income of local residents are the incomes from tourism and agriculture and fisheries.

The Beaches Of Polis

The air temperature in Polis Chrysochous, in the midst of the summer tourist season may rise up to +35°C.

Park Polis

The municipal Park Polis (Municipal Park Polis, the Greek name Δημοτικό Πάρκο) - a small Park located in the city centre.

Museum of Polis

Archaeological Museum of Marion-Arsinoe (Archaeological Museum of Marion-Arsinoe).

The Museum, founded in 1998, the government of Cyprus and Nicos Chacalosa consists of three exhibition areas: rooms I and II and the atrium. The objects in the rooms tell the history of the city and the area around Polis and, for convenience, the image of historical developments in chronological sequence from the Neolithic and Chalcolithic to the middle ages and later periods.
