The memorial sign to the Baltic sailors is a historical monument of local (municipal) significance, located in the center of Kaliningrad, between Moskovsky Prospekt, Oktyabrskaya Street and the embankment of the Pregolya River.
The monument to Baltic sailors is popularly called a "torpedo boat" or simply a "boat".
The memorial sign was installed in honor of the Baltic sailors who participated in the East Prussian operation during the Great Patriotic War,
The monument was built in 1978 by architect M.T. Suslov and sculptor V.V. Morgunov. It was completely renovated in 2010.
The memorial sign is a torpedo boat mounted on an inclined concrete pedestal and rushing nose up, which creates an imitation of a wave and a boat in motion, respectively.
Behind the boat there is a 15-meter-high concrete stele with commemorative plaques dedicated to Baltic sailors who took part in the East Prussian operation and a 4-meter-high camp with the inscription "1945 Motherland remembers".

Near the memorial sign there are: the embankments of the Pregolya River (Admiral Tributs Embankment and General Karbyshev embankment) with places for walking and recreation, children's and sports grounds; and a wooden bridge that allows access to the "Fish Village", the new Synagogue and Kant Island (Kneiphof)withThe cathedral.
