Karaalioglu Park, Antalya: sea, palm trees and views (Karaalioğlu Park)

Karaalioglu Park (Karaalioğlu Park) is a large park in Antalya, which is located in the city center, has beautiful walking areas, panoramic terraces, a fountain, monuments and sculptures, ruins of an ancient tower, restaurants and a beach.

Karaalioglu Park is one of the main places in Antalya for walking and recreation.

The park is located south of the old town of Kaleici, near the waters of the Mediterranean Sea.

Thanks to the large amount of greenery and trees, Karaalioglu Park is an oasis for walking on hot summer days. Pine trees, palm trees, tangerine, orange and deciduous trees, various shrubs grow here. The landscape is complemented by flowerbeds, flowers and lawns. Thus, Karaalioglu is also an arboretum.

In the park there are also: fountain, playgrounds, city theater, sculptures and monuments, cafes and restaurants, free Wi-Fi and places to charge phones.

Since Karaalioglu Park is located on a hill near Antalya Bay, it is pleasant to walk along the pine and palm alleys along the steep coast in the park, while enjoying panoramic views of the sea, the rocky coast of Antalya, Konyaalti beach and mountains.

Above the cliff in the park there are three viewing terraces (playground):

- the western observation deck of Karaalioglu Park (Karaaalioğlu Parkı Batı Seyir Terası), located near the historical Hidirlik Tower (Hıdırlık Kulesi).

The site is made in the form of a small square with an epic monument to the War of Independence (Kurtuluş Savaşı Destanı Anıtı) and a monument to the Turkish poet, novelist, screenwriter, playwright and public figure Nazım Hikmet (Nazım Hikmet Heykeli), created in 2010 for the 47th anniversary of the poet's death;

- the central terrace, which is decorated with the monument "Worker and Son", the work of the Turkish sculptor Mehmet Aksoy;

- eastern observation deck (Karaaalioğlu Parkı Doğu Miradoru), the center of which is decorated with the sculpture "Hand".

In Karalioglu Park, under the rocky shore, directly on the rocks is the Adalar Beach club.

The beach is equipped with platforms on which there is a cafe-bar, sun loungers and umbrellas, shower, toilet and changing cabins.

Entrance to the beach is paid. The price includes a sunbed and an umbrella from the sun, as well as the use of a shower, toilet and locker room.

You can go down to the beach from the park. More about Adalar Beach…
