Dubai Marina - prestigious area with a canal, beach, entertainment, skyscrapers

Dubai Marina (arabic name: دبي مارينا) is an exquisite area in Dubai, located on the coastal strip of the Persian Gulf and is one of the steepest coastal complexes in the world, which is called a "city within a city" and an "artificial city".

Dubai Marina is one of the hearts of attraction in Dubai, where something is constantly happening and all conditions are created not only for life, but also for recreation: places for walking, shops, restaurants, cafes and entertainment.

In Dubai Marina there are: a man-made bay-channel with a fashionable marina, an embankment with a large shopping complex Dubai Marina Mall and skyscrapers in which residential apartments are located and hotels, Jumeirah Beach Residence with a waterfront boulevard, as well as the popular Dubai Marina Beach with all the amenities and entertainment.

Canal Dubai Marina

The Dubai Marina Channel or Dubai Marina Bay is an artificial channel that originates and flows into the waters of the Persian Gulf, thereby cutting a piece of land and creating an island.

The canal stretches for three kilometers, has emerald green waters, flanked by a promenade lined with some of the tallest, not to mention some of the most architecturally impressive, residential skyscraper towers in the world.

There is a fashionable marina on the canal.

There are ferry piers along the canal. Ferries can be used to reach Dubai Marina from other points along the coastline of Dubai.

You can travel along the Dubai Marina Canal by water bus, which is a public city transport and runs from 10:00 to 22:00 every 15 minutes between different stations of Dubai Marina.

You can also take a boat trip on a pleasure boat or book an individual cruise on a yacht. Public cruises depart every hour from the Marina promenade.

A traditional Arabic dhow boat ride around the pier or take a trip to Palm Jumeirah and back.

Above the channel of Dubai Marina there are bridges connecting the banks of the channel and having roadways and pedestrian areas.

The bridges offer views of the canal and skyscrapers rising on both sides of the canal, some of which create the illusion of overhanging the waters of the canal.

Along the winding canal runs the Dubai Marina Promenade - the waterfront, which is a place for walking and relaxing. There are places for recreation, several children's playgrounds, an abundance of restaurants and cafes.

There is a small dancing musical fountain on the canal embankment.

Also located along the canal: large Dubai Marina Mall shopping complex with a children's play center; the Masjid Al Rahim Mosque, opened in October 2013 and accommodating up to 2,000 people.

The Dubai Marina Canal offers one of the most thrilling adrenaline experiences in Dubai, the 1 kilometer Zipline (XLine Dubai Marina), billed as "the city's longest zipline".

A zipline connects the 44th floor of one of the Dubai Marina towers (the 170-meter Amwaj tower in Jumeirah Beach Residence) on one side, with the Dubai Marina Mall on the other.

The flight passes over the waters of the canal, while developing a speed of up to 80 kilometers per hour.
