The Rauschen water tower (German name Wasserturm Rauschen) is a historical architectural monument representing the tower and the adjacent building of the hydrotherapy.
The tower and the hydrotherapy are located in the center of the resort town of Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad region, at the address: Oktyabrskaya Street, 11.
The tower of the marine hydrotherapy was built by architect Otto Walter Kukkuk in 1908 in the city of Rauschen in the style of German national Romanticism.
The tower served to supply Raushen with water. In the adjacent building of the hydrotherapy center, sea and carbon dioxide baths were taken, various mud wraps and treatments were carried out. In the upper part of the water tower, under a helmet-shaped roof with a spire, there was an observation deck, now closed to tourists.
The sculpture "Children", which is a sculptural composition of children playing and vases, located near the building of the Raushen hydrotherapy.
In 1978, the upper part of the tower was decorated with a sundial. The author of the project is Svetlogorsk artist and sculptor Nikolai Frolov.
The tower has a height of 25 meters.
Currently, the tower is the main attraction and business card of Svetlogorsk, has the status of a cultural heritage site of regional significance.
The physiotherapy department of the Svetlogorsk Military Sanatorium branch is now located in the walls of the tower.
