The oak tree is located on the territory of the Ladushkin cheese factory, 10 Pobedy Street. You need to go through the gate to the territory of the plant, the entrance is free. Opening hours are from Monday to Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00.

When we arrived, the gate was open. Probably, this does not always happen, because there is a bell hanging at the entrance, after ringing it, a guard will come out to you and open the door. We entered, a guard came out to us, told him that we had come to see the oak tree, smiled and showed us where to go.

We went through the gates of the plant and a powerful tree appeared before our eyes - a thick trunk, spreading branches with a crown, of impressive size. Just imagine what kind of root system it should have…

There are many birdhouses on the oak tree, so many on one tree we have never seen.

Here he is a majestic handsome man

At the foot of the oak there is a memo, from the contents of which we learned that the diameter of the trunk of the oak is 8.7 meters, the circumference at the base is 13.2 meters, the habitus of the crown is 40 meters and the most interesting thing is the age of the tree is more than 900 years. However, scientific sources say that the age of the oak is more than 800 years old. But it's not so important, it's still eight hundred years or nine hundred, just imagine... eight hundred years ... what a huge period... history itself was made at the foot of this tree.

It turns out that during its life the tree has seen many historical events, survived a single battle, the World War and visited several states.

The beauty, power and strength of majestic trees like oaks have always aroused the imagination of people.

And how beautifully poets and writers described these mighty trees, praising their strength, resilience and impressive appearance.

Here is an excerpt from the work of the great Russian poet, playwright and prose writer A.S. Pushkin flaunts on the plaques at the Petiolate Oak:

"...I'm looking at a solitary oak

I think: Patriarch of the forests

Will outlive my forgotten age

How he survived the age of the fathers..."
