Trails, ski areas and lifts on Rosa Khutor (guide to the trails)

Rosa Khutor is a year-round mountain resort, which is the most famous and considered respectable in Russia.

The Rosa Khutor resort is located in the village of Esto-Sadok (Krasnaya Polyana) in the Adler district of Sochi.

According to the infrastructure, Rosa Khutor is a separate ski and year-round family resort with everything you need, both for skiing and snowboarding, and for year-round recreation without skiing.

The territory of the Rosa Khutor ski complex covers approximately 1820 hectares. All objects of the Rosa Khutor mountain resort, including ski slopes and lifts, are located on the north-western, north-eastern and southern slopes (relative to the Rosa Khutor resort) of the Aibga ridge; at various altitudes: starting from the Mzymta River from 560 meters above sea level and reaching the peaks of the mountain range - "Rosa Peak" and "Stone Pillar", located at 2320 - 2509 meters above sea level.

The total length of the ski slopes on Rosa Khutor is 102 kilometers, with a height difference of 1569 meters on the slopes.

Rosa Khutor has trails of all levels of difficulty, starting from easy (green) and ending with very difficult (black) trails, including Olympic descents. This diversity provides an opportunity for training and skiing skiers and snowboarders of various skill levels. The resort also has educational and children's slopes, snow parks and trails with artificial lighting, suitable for evening skiing.

All the tracks are marked, it's quite difficult to get lost. On some routes there are places where it is forbidden to stop, you should pay attention to information signs.

To ensure comfortable access of guests to various heights and routes, Rosa Khutor has 30 lifts: gondola (closed cabins with seats, with a capacity of up to 8 people), high-speed chairlift, chairlift, towbar and conveyor (escalators).

How to get to the Rosa Khutor slopes (lifts and by car)

There are 6 main cable car stations on Rosa Khutor, 4 of which start and near which the ski slopes run. These are the stations (heights): Rosa Plato (Mountain Olympic Village)located at altitudes of 1100-1170 meters above sea level; Besedka station, located at an altitude of 1350 meters above sea level; "Rosa-1600", located at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level andRose Peak, located at an altitude of 2320 meters above sea level.

The Olympia ski lift is available all year round for guests with walking tickets (lifting without skiing), and in the winter season also with ski passes.

During the winter season, the Strela lift is only accessible to guests via ski passes, so the queue for this cable car at the height of the season is usually less, and using this cable car, skiers and snowboarders can save time than when climbing the Olympia cable car.

Also, you can climb to the ski slopes from the "Rosa Stadium", located at 940 meters above sea level.

With Rosa Stadium ply:

- high-speed chairlift "Wolf rock" and chairlift "Gazebo" to the mark of the station "Gazebo";

- gondola cable car "Dryada" along the north-eastern sector of the slope of the Aibga ridge.

After climbing on the Dryad lift, you can already start riding, or, if desired, climb higher on the Tundra gondola cable car.

If you come by car, you can leave it at the lower station of the Rosa Khutor cable cars. There are also parking spaces throughout the Rosa Dolina and the Mountain Olympic Village (parking is paid).

In winter, there is a large outdoor parking lot at the Rosa Stadium mark of 940 meters. Parking on it is free.

The ticket offices are located at the lower station of the cable cars in the Rosa Valley, in the building "Shelter of the Winds" in the Mountain Olympic Village and at the Rosa Stadium mark.

Ski equipment and equipment rentalpoints, as well as storage rooms (lockers) are located at the lower station of the cable cars in Rosa Dolina and in the building "Shelter of the Winds" in the Mountain Olympic Village.

Skating zones on Rosa Khutor

Rosa Khutor is conditionally divided into three ski areas (three sectors):

- the Rosa Khutor Circus is a bowl in the mountains, where the main number of trails is concentrated and which is located on the north-western section (sector) of the slope of the Aibga ridge relative to the entire Rosa Khutor complex;

- Ober Khutor Circus, where two gondola cable cars lead from the Main Stadium: Dryad and Tundra. This zone runs through the north-eastern part of the resort;

- The southern sector, which runs along the southern slope of the Aibga ridge.

All areas are connected by ski lifts and ski slopes.

Rosa Khutor trails

Educational and children's slopes

The educational and children's slopes are located on the Rosa Plateau (Mountain Olympic Village).

The training slope on the Rosa Plateau is the main training place of the Rosa Khutor resort, where they train from scratch. The slope is good because in its lower reaches there is a rollout on a carnal surface, where beginners learn to stand on snowboards and skis, as well as practice technical techniques on the spot.

The length of the training slope is 290 meters with a height difference of 40 meters.

Near the training track there is a conveyor lift (escalator), called the "Magic Carpet".

The training slope is located in front of the restaurant " Den " (the building of the Rose Shelter).

The children's training slope is located near the Rosa Priyut building and tubing in the Olympic Mountain Village.

The length of the children's educational slope is 80 meters with a height difference of 5 meters.

There is a conveyor lift on the slope, the length of which is 90 meters, and the capacity is 400 people per hour.

Green trails (easy)

The Juventa highway is an unstrained, wide and gentle slope that runs behind the rodelban and originates near the Rosa Shelter building on the Rosa Plateau.

The length of the Juventus highway is 285 meters with a height difference of 40 meters.

From the lower part of the route runs a tow lift of the same name "Juventa". The length of the lift is 277 meters, and the capacity is 720 people per hour.

The B-52 route starts from the Rosa-1600 station and stretches almost to the Rosa Plateau (Mountain Olympic Village), where it turns into a Chalet route, which beginners and all those who like slow descents prefer to ride. At the bottom of the Chalet route, instructors with beginners and children conduct training.

The length of the B-52 highway: - above 1350 meters is 2495 meters with a height difference of 250 meters; - below 1350 meters is 1370 meters with a height difference of 95 meters.

The B-52 highway can be reached from the Mountain Olympic Village by the Reserved Forest cable car and then by the Caucasian Express cable car to the Rosa-1600 podsadka station or by the Quartet chairlift. You can climb from the Mountain Olympic Village on the gondola lift Reserved Forest or from the Rosa Stadium on the chair lifts Gazebo or Wolf Rock.

The routes Yavor and Yavor-2 run along the southern slope of Aibga Hill with smooth transitions into each other. Almost at the very bottom, the Yavor-2 highway turns into the Azalea highway.

The Yavor highway starts near Rosa Peak. From the ascent to Rosa Peak, which is possible on the Caucasian Express gondola lift, you should walk a little to the left. At the beginning of the route there will be a narrow section with a large number of people. Then, almost everywhere, the track has a pleasant slope and is quite wide.

On the highway Yavor-2, as a rule, there are much fewer people, although the skiing area is very interesting and picturesque (it runs through a coniferous forest), besides, the slope exposure there is such that there is little sun, so the snow remains in good condition for a long time. This is a gentle track, suitable for lovers of leisurely skiing.

The length of the Yavor highway: - above 2220 meters is 1005 meters with a height difference of 100 meters; - between 2220 and 2120 meters is 810 meters with height differences of 100 meters; - below 2120 meters is 4385 meters with a height difference of 650 meters.

Snowpark "The Stash"

The snowpark (stesh park) was created in a natural mountain landscape, and only natural materials were used for stunt equipment.

Only dead wood and snow become figures for practicing tricks and jumps in the park. At The Stash site, they are turned into trampolines, volraids, rainbows and spikes.

The snowpark is located in the circus Ober Khutor sector, in the area of the red highway Ober Khutor. You can get to the stesh park on the Dryad and Daphne cable cars, there are several ski slopes around the lifts, so it will not be any problems to go to the lifts.

Winter entertainment Rosa Khutor

Alpine sledge (Toboggan)

In the winter season, when there is enough snow, you can take a Toboggan ride on Rosa Khutor in the evening - this is the oldest type of sleigh that became widespread at the end of the 19th century. The Canadian Indians once used a toboggan to transport goods and people, and today you can have fun on this sledge down the slope of the Rosa Khutor resort.

The sled rental point is located in the Mountain Olympic Village in the building "Rosa Priyut". To rent a sleigh, you must pay for the service at the ticket office of the Rosa Shelter building, fill out an application and present an identity document (passport, driver's license). Then take a sled and a protective helmet.

The start of the toboggan run is located at the "Gazebo" mark at an altitude of 1350 meters above sea level, a few minutes ' walk from the Reserved Forest cable car station, next to the Yeti cafe. The length of the route is 2 kilometers, and the height difference is 180 meters.

Alpine sledding is available for adults and children over 10 years old on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 17: 45 to 19: 30 hours.

The tariff for using the sled and helmet includes 45 minutes of skiing, during which you can have time to make two descents on the sled. An additional fee is charged for each subsequent 15 minutes.

At the end of the ride, you must return the sled and helmet to the rental point in the Rosa Shelter building.

We recommend checking all the rates for the use of sledges and, if necessary, the cable cars "Reserved Forest" and "Olympia", as well as the days and times of skiing, before visiting the Rosa Khutor resort website, since prices and hours of skiing often change.

Winter tubing

In the Mountain Olympic Village, near the children's educational slope and the Grusha restaurant, there is a winter tubing, which has a specially prepared track with a length of 300 meters, along which you can roll on a "cheesecake".

The tubing track is equipped with a rope lift.

Adults and children with a height of 1 meter and a weight of up to 80 kilograms are allowed to descend (the weight limit depends on the weather conditions and the condition of the track on the day of the visit). Children under the age of 14 are allowed to tubing only accompanied by their parents (parents may not ride themselves, but they must be present).

Cost: 4 descents - 900 rubles. It includes the use of a lift, rental of tubes and a helmet. Children under the age of 18 can only be on the tubing track wearing a helmet. The deposit for the helmet for the time of riding is 1000 rubles. Tickets can be purchased directly at the ticket office of the tubing.

The tubing is open daily from 10: 00 to 22: 00 during the winter season.

The two-seat rodelban sled (you can ride both together and one at a time) is equipped with a manual brake, speed and approach control, and automatic lifting to the starting point. The rail track has 3 rings-turns, and the sled slides along the rails at a speed of up to 40 km / h.

Rodelban is located in the Mountain Olympic Village behind the building "Shelter of the Winds".

Tickets can be purchased both on the spot - at the ticket office directly near the rodelban, and in advance online on the official website of the Rosa Khutor resort. Tickets online are cheaper (they were 200 rubles).
