Pushkin (formerly Tsarskoye Selo) is a former imperial residence, and now a city within the Pushkinsky District of the federal city of St. Petersburg and its inner-city municipality.
Every year Pushkin attracts the attention of numerous tourists, and, first of all, due to the fact that for two centuries it was the grand summer residence of the emperors, glorifying the greatness of Russia and called Tsarskoye Selo.

You can get to Pushkin from St. Petersburg by taxi, car, bus or train, as well as visit the former imperial residence on a retro train or with a tour from the center of St. Petersburg.
From St. Petersburg Airport to Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo)

Public transport
You can get from Pulkovo Airport to Pushkin by public transport:
- with transfers. For example, through the metro station "Moskovskaya»;
- go on foot to Pulkovo highway (R-23; stops: TRU "Pulkovo III" and Pulkovo highway, 74 Fire Station) and then take the bus to Pushkin. Or-directly from the airport building by bus number 39 to get to the stop TRU "Pulkovo III" and then cross the highway, go back a little and take the bus to Pushkin. You can get directly from the airport to Pushkin by taxi or car.
The fastest and most convenient way to get from the airport to Pushkin or any other point in St. Petersburg and the surrounding area is by taxi.

Distance from the center of Saint Petersburg (Palace Square) to the center of Pushkin is about 27.3 kilometers.
The distance from the metro station "Moskovskaya" to the center of Pushkin is somewhere 17-19 kilometers.

A quick and convenient way to get from the center of St. Petersburg to Pushkin is by taxi.
You can book a taxi/transfer in advance. At any time of the day, a car will be waiting for you at the designated place in the city.
Buses and minibuses
There are quite a lot of options to get there by public buses and minibuses. Buses leave from different points of the city.
• From the metro station "Moskovskaya": shuttle buses - №№ K-287, K-342, K-347, K-545; bus # 187.
Moskovskaya Metro Station can be reached directly from the airport building by buses 39 and 39e.
• From Kupchino metro station: minibuses - №№ K-286, K-287, K-342, K-347, K-545a; bus № 186.
• From the metro station "Zvezdnaya": bus number 186.
In Pushkin, each of the buses makes several stops. It is better to choose the right stop for you yourself.
Some buses go to the railway station "Tsarskoe Selo" in Pushkin. The distance from the station to the parks and palaces of Catherine and Alexander is about 2.5 kilometers; you can walk or take buses No. 371 and 382.

There are unified transport cards and travel cards for ground transport and metro in St. Petersburg, according to which the cost of travel in buses and metro in St. Petersburg (except for commercial buses: with numbers K -...), including to Pushkin and Pulkovo Airport, will be lower than when paying for one-time passes.

Commuter trains
You can get to Pushkin by electric trains from the Vitebsk Railway Station in St. Petersburg.
In Pushkin, trains make a stop at the Tsarskoye Selo station, from which you can walk to the palace and park ensembles or take buses (buses are listed above in this article).
Trains run daily: from 05: 43 to 23: 50 hours. Driving intervals: from 10 minutes to 2.15 hours. Travel time: 29-33 minutes.

Retro Trains
The trip on the retro train is a tour of the "Royal route". Departure from the Vitebsk railway station.
During the tour, you will learn about the history of the first railway in Russia, get acquainted with the architecture of the Vitebsk railway Station and the Tsarskoye Selo station. Along the way, guests are introduced to the history of Russian railways.

In Pushkin and the surrounding area there is a sufficient number of attractions. If you visit many of them or all of them, while slowly walking through the parks, enjoying their picturesqueness, as well as visiting palaces and museums, then one day at Tsarskoye Selo will not be enough - it is better to stay in Pushkin for a few days.
