Lake Sinyavinskoye, also known as Yantarnoe Lake, is a freshwater reservoir that was formed on the site of the former Walter quarry for amber extraction. The extraction of amber in the quarry was carried out by an open method in the period from 1913 to 1972.
When the amber-bearing rocks in the quarry were worked out, the quarry was deemed unprofitable and closed, the quarry was filled with spring and groundwater, resulting in the formation of a pond (lake).
Lake Sinyavinskoe is located between the villages of Yantarny and Sinyavino, belonging to the municipality of Yantarny City District.
The pond lies at an altitude of 9 meters above the level of the Baltic Sea and its small south-western part belongs to the village of Yantarnoye.
The approach to the pond is mainly limited by sufficient steepness and thickets, however, from the village of Yantarny there is a small beach near the lake shore - "Sinyavinsky Lake beach" or "Yantarny Lake beach".
The beach is not stretched, but wide. There is sand on the beach, mixed with a small amount of medium-sized pebbles.
The water in the pond is clear, you can swim.

Near the lake beach, above the beach strip, there is a recreation center "Pearl" with a cafe, a terrace, free private parking, a children's playground, barbecue, the possibility of renting gazebos, camping and a mini-hotel with family rooms. Link to the recreation center
Also near the beach there is a volleyball court, a cafe from the recreation center, a diving center "DEMERSUS" with amenities, a playground, barbecue and Parking.
A little further from the beach there is a club for scuba divers "Poseidon 39" with the possibility of fishing, renting boats and catamarans, for more active ones there is a windsurfing, a sapboard and a sailing boat.

The lake is popular among divers, who, during dives, have the opportunity to see underwater inhabitants, flooded forest, which is replaced by an underwater plain bottom, dissected by a concrete road, the ruins of old structures and some artifacts left in the quarry by man, including not so long ago, in order to attract divers.
How to get to the beach of Lake Amber
You can get to the beach on Lake Yantarny on foot from the center of Yantarny. If by bus from Kaliningrad, then you should get off at the final stop in the village of Yantarny (2A Balebina Street).
Then walk along Ozernaya Street to the Pearl recreation center. Turn left near the barrier of the recreation center and follow the path, past the volleyball court, to the descent to the beach.
If by car, then the way is the same - to the recreation center, near which you can park the car on an unequipped site.
