Pevcheskai Tower in Pushkin: restaurants, hotel, observation deck

The Singing Water Tower is a historical building in the Pushkin city of St. Petersburg (formerly Tsarskoye Selo).

Often the building is called simply "The Singing Tower".

Today, the tower building has been restored and has seven floors, whichinclude: restaurants, a karaoke bar, a 5-star hotel Singing Tower, a souvenir shop, a banquet hall and an outdoor observation deck located on the roof of the tower.

The water tower was built in 1887 according to the project of the academician of architecture Alexander Fomich Vidov, when the construction of a water pipeline in Tsarskoye Selo was started.

Then two water towers were built, one of which was named "Singing", because it was located behind the Singing wing of the Tsarskoye Selo palace administration, and the second - "Orlovskaya", because it was located at the Oryol Gate.

The tanks of the towers had a volume of 10,000 buckets each. The water was supplied by steam pumps from the Taitsky Canal. There was also a power plant in the Singing Tower.

In the 1890s, extensions were built to the Singing Tower, which housed machines, boilers, workshops and a coal warehouse. As a water tower, the tower was used until the 1950s, and later an electric grid office and restoration workshops were located within its walls. Then the building was empty until restoration work began in 2009 to accommodate the Gutsait Group holding complex in the tower, which combined two formats: gastronomic and cultural.

Today, the tower looks as it was conceived by the architect Alexander Vidov, and is also a monument of history and culture.

The height of the tower is 30 meters. The tower has seven floors and extensions at the level of 1 and 2 floors. It is made in the eclectic style, with the presence of elements of brick style and Gothic. The facades of the tower combine finishing with red brick and white plaster, and also have some architectural decorations.
