The Olympic Mountain Village or Rosa Plateau is one of the heights, as well as the cable car station of the year-round mountain resort Rosa Khutor in Krasnaya Polyana (Esto-Sadok).
Gorna Olympic Village (abbreviated YEAR) is the most extensive, visited and one of the most interesting stations for walking and recreation in the Rosa Khutor resort, both in winter and in summer.
The mountain Olympic Village is the second height (the second level) of the resort (the first - Rose Valley at an altitude of 560 meters above sea level), located on the plateau of the Aibga ridge, at an altitude of 1100-1170 meters above sea level. Since it is located on a plateau, it is also called and marked on maps as the Rose of the Plateau. It is also an intermediate station of the cable car on the way to the top of the Aibga - na ridge Rosa Peak, located at an altitude of 2320 meters above sea level.
According to the infrastructure, the Mountain Olympic Village can be considered a full-fledged recreation place with all amenities.
At Rosa Plateau located: observation points and viewing platforms, places for walking and recreation, ski trails and lifts, learning slope, sledding, rodelbahn, tubing, helicopter tours, cafes and restaurants, restrooms, medical, rent ski equipment and training service, hotels and apartmentsand some winter and summer activities.
You can get to the Rosa Plateau by the Olympia cable car from the lower station of the Rosa Khutor cable cars in the Rosa Valley, or by car along the Alpine Highway.
Ski lifts of the Olympic Mountain Village
On the Rosa Plateau there is a station of two main gondola cable cars (closed cabins with seats inside, with a capacity of up to 8 people):
- the Olympia cable car, which lifts guests from the lower station of the Rosa Khutor cable cars, located in the Rosa Valley at an altitude of 560 meters above sea level to the Mountain Olympic Village;
- the cable car "Zapovedniy les", which lifts guests from the mark "Rosa Plato" to the station "Besedka", located at an altitude of 1350 meters above sea level.
Both cable cars are available in the winter season by ski passes and all year round by walking tickets (ascent without skating). Also, these two cable cars are the first and second lifts on the way to Rosa Peak. The third gondola lift that will take guests to Rosa Peak from the Arbor station is the Kavkazskiy express.
In addition to these, the Mountain Olympic Village also has lifts available in winter for skiers and snowboarders.
Trails of the Mountain Olympic Village
The lower reaches of the light (green) trails are located on the Rosa Plateau, there is also a medium-difficulty track (Blue) Rosa Blade and a difficult track (red) Rosa Star.
There are children's and educational slopes.
The green route "Chalet" runs between the complex "Chalet Rosa Khutor" and the restaurant "Alaska". The slope is quite gentle and wide, so beginners and all those who like slow descents prefer to ride it. At the bottom of the track, instructors conduct training with beginners and children.
The length of the Chalet route is 1160 meters with a height difference of 130 meters.
The slope of the Chalet begins above the Rose Plateau mark, where the green B-52 highway passes into the highway, starting at 1600 meters above sea level.
The Chalet chairlift runs from the lower part of the Chalet route - near the Rosa Ski Inn Spa Hotel. The length of the ski lift of the Chalet is 836 meters, and the capacity is 1269 people per hour.
The training slope is located in front of the Den restaurant (the Rosa Priyut building).
This slope is the main training place of the Rosa Khutor resort, where they train from scratch. The slope is good because in its lower reaches there is a rollout on a carnal surface, where beginners learn to stand on snowboards and skis, as well as practice technical techniques on the spot.
Near the training track there is a conveyor lift (escalator), called the "Magic Carpet".

Just to the west of the training slope, near the observation deck, there is the lower part of the green route "Plateau", which begins at the mark of 1350 meters above sea level-from the station "Besedka" (rope lift "Zapovedniy les"). The length of the route is 2055 meters with a height difference of 180 meters.
There is also a blue route "Rose Blade", which originates from the Chalet route and ends near the lower reaches of the rodelban. During the descent from the Rosa Blade highway, you can turn onto the red Rosa Star highway, which, like the Rosa Blade highway, originates from the Chalet highway and ends near the lower reaches of the rodelban.
The total length of the Rosa Blade highway is 1,700 meters with a height difference of 220 meters.
The total length of the Rosa Star highway is 1075 meters with a height difference of 220 meters.
The Extreme chairlift runs from the lower reaches of the Rosa Blade and Rosa Star trails. The length of the lift is 954 meters, and the capacity is 1781 people per hour.

The Mogul chairlift is necessary when holding freestyle competitions taking place on the tracks of the Extreme Park in Rosa Khutor, when the lift lifts athletes to a platform from which you can move down a difficult short road with a springboard.
The green highway "Juventa" is an unstrained, wide and gentle slope that runs behind the rodelban and originates near the building "Rosa Priyut".
The length of the Juventus highway is 285 meters with a height difference of 40 meters.
From the lower part of the route runs a tow lift of the same name "Juventa". The length of the lift is 277 meters, and the capacity is 720 people per hour.
The children's training slope is located near the beginning of the Juventa highway, near the Rosa Priyut building and the tubing.
The length of the children's educational slope is 80 meters with a height difference of 5 meters.
There is a conveyor lift on the slope, the length of which is 90 meters, and the capacity is 400 people per hour.
The best time to visit the Rosa Khutor slopes as a ski resort is from December to March. Sometimes the season starts in November and ends at the end of April (May). But there are also rains at the height of the season, then the snow lies only on the upper marks of the slopes.
The opening and closing dates of the ski season are determined by the administration of the Rosa Khutor mountain Resort, depending on weather conditions and snow cover. The administration can also determine the dates and deadlines for routine maintenance. Information about determining the start and end dates of the ski season is posted on the official website of the resort (the site is indicated at the end of this article).
Attention! During the season, lifts and trails (one or another, or all) may be closed due to weather conditions. We recommend that you check the information before riding on the official website in real time (you can download the mobile application).
There are ski passes from midday and evening to multi-day ones. During the winter season, you can ride under the starry sky every day from 19: 00 to 23: 00 on the slopes of Chalet, Juventa, Rosa Star, Rosa Blade and the Training Slope.
You can purchase a single ski pass, according to which skiers and snowboarders get the right to ride, as well as use the infrastructure and services of all the ski resorts of Krasnaya Polyana (Esto-Sadka): Gazprom MTC (Alpika and Laura slopes), Rosa Khutor and Krasnaya Polyana.
