Husky Park is a place in the mountains where husky dogs live, with whom you can communicate, learn about the breed and living conditions of dogs, as well as arrange a photo session, walk with a husky through the forests, ride a sled in a dog sled or have a picnic in the mountains.
Husky Park is located in a very picturesque place - surrounded by massive ridges and fir forest at an altitude of 1500 meters above sea level on the territory of the Gazprom mountain and tourist center Laura slope (the lower part of the H cable car) in Krasnaya Polyana (Esto-Sadok).
Husky Park is open all year round.
The Husky Park kennel is home to 25 dogs of the Siberian Husky breed, the peculiarity of which is the absence of aggression towards humans and a special love for children.
Guests of the park can visit an excursion accompanied by an expert (experienced guide) on the territory of the park, where affectionate and playful Siberian Husky dogs live. The tour lasts about 30 minutes. During the tour, visitors will see how huskies live in aviaries, where they walk; they will also find out what kind of breed it is, when it was bred and its character features; and at the end of the tour, in a separate aviary, you can have a closer conversation with dogs and arrange a photo session with a personal camera or phone.
There are three dog holding areas in Husky Park:
- the area of aviaries where dogs live. If you like one of the tenants, then you can put your palm up and get acquainted)).
All dogs in aviaries live in pairs, as a rule, it is a boy and a girl - this is how dogs get along best;
- a dog walking area where they run and play for fun in their free time. As a rule, this is 2 hours in the morning and two hours in the evening. This is the only area of the park where visitors do not enter;
- contact area, where the most affectionate and sociable dogs are waiting for guests. You can go to this zone, chat with the dogs, stroke them, hug them and arrange a photo shoot.
A little about the breed
The Siberian Husky is a northern dog bred by the Chukchi of the north-eastern part of Siberia as a sled dog, for transporting goods and moving people in sleds. There were Huskies by a cross between Chukchi huskies and aboriginal wild dogs.
This type of transportation (dog sledding trips) is still used in the northern regions as a form of transport.
Huskies are very beautiful, as well as active, sociable and hardy dogs with a playful or as they are also called "childish" character. These are not guards and hunters from them are also so-so.
For the beauty of the breed, many people want to have a husky in an apartment, but it is not recommended to do this, because dogs like coolness (a slight minus: from 0 to -10 degrees) and it is hot in apartments; huskies do not bark, but more often howl; and most importantly, their irrepressible energy and endurance - dogs love communication, they frolic, play and, as a result, are naughty in the house if they are left alone. For these reasons, often the owners can not cope and the huskies begin to move to another house, which is how several dogs of refuseniks got into the Husky Park of the Gazprom GTC.
The color of the iris of the eyes of the husky is different, and not only blue, there is also brown; one eye is brown, the other is blue (heterochromia. In the people, dogs with different eye colors are called "harlequins", and according to signs they bring good luck); and even one of the eyes can be two - colored-this is normal and does not affect vision in any way.
According to the color of the husky's coat, there are more than 12 different suits. The most popular (classic) is a gray-white color (wolf). The second most popular is black and white. Next - light and dark red, chocolate colors. The rarest are considered to be monophonic colors-pure black and pure white.
Dog sledding in Husky Park
Dogs in Husky Park can run in sleds.
In winter, if desired and favorable weather conditions (when there is enough snow), you can ride a sled in a dog sled in the park, for a fee.
Ahead of the sled (sleigh) runs a team consisting of one person for riding, usually of 8-10 dogs. Behind, on the runners of the sled, there is a man who controls the team-a kayur. The very first pair of dogs in the team are the leaders, they are the most experienced, non-confrontational and intelligent dogs that distinguish the voice of the kayur and, being the "steering wheel", leads the whole cart in the right direction.
Other entertainment in Husky Park
You can arrange a photo session with a husky or take a walk along one of the routes with a dog.
On the territory of the Husky Park there are closed grill houses where you can gather a company and cook a barbecue yourself, celebrate a birthday, hold a corporate party or a children's holiday.
In winter, children's snowmobiling and ice skating are held for young guests in Husky Park, it is also possible to watch cartoons on the big screen.
In summer, an outdoor swimming pool is available on the territory of the Husky Park. There is also a zone for walking and relaxation, a children's playground and a Grill Park cafe.
