Rosa Khutor is a year-round mountain resort, which is the most famous and respectable in Russia.
The resort is located in the village of Esto-Sadok (Krasnaya Polyana) in the Adler district of Sochi, on the banks of the Mzymta River and on the slopes (north and south) of the Aibga ridge.

The territory of the Rosa Khutor ski complex covers approximately 1820 hectares. All the objects of the resort are located at different altitudes: starting from the Mzymta River (Rosa Dolina) from 560 meters above sea level and reaching the peaks of the mountain range - "Rosa Peak" and "Stone Pillar", located at 2320 - 2509 meters above sea level.
VisitIt will not be difficult to visit the Valley at any time of the year. You can get there by public transport (buses, electric trains) - there are public bus stops and the Rosa Khutor railway station in Rosa Dolina.
Ascents above are possible all year round on walking tickets, and in the winter season also on ski passes.
Depending on the season, there are different variations of walking tickets, the cost of which varies and starts from somewhere 1700 rubles. Walking tickets include ascents to various heights of the resort, including Rosa Peak, as well as to the Mountain Olympic Village, to the Gazebo station, to the Yeti Park and to the Mendelikha Waterfall Park. In the winter season, when the slopes of the ridge are occupied by ski slopes, you can climb to the heights of the resort only with walking tickets or ski passes. But in the summer and autumn periods, when the slopes of the hill are accessible to everyone without exception, you can climb the various heights of the Rosa Khutor resort on foot along the paved mountain trails for free, and you can also climb up to the mark of 1350 meters above sea level by bicycle for free.
- from the Rosa Stadium (altitude 940 meters above sea level), you can walk along the "Lake Traverse" trail to Olympic Mountain Village (Rosa Plato), located at elevations of 1100-1170 meters above sea level. The trail "Lake Traverse" is quite easy, gentle, gravel and picturesque;
- from the Mountain Olympic Village, you can walk along the "Yeti Trail" to the "Besedka" station, located at an altitude of 1350 meters above sea level and above, where the family amusement park "Yeti Park"is located . The Yeti Trail is a simple scenic route, gravel under your feet;
- from the station "Gazebo" (Yeti Park) along the trail "Trail of Champions" you can climb to the mark "Rosa-1600" and then toRosa Peak is an altitude of 2320 meters above sea level. The Champions Trail gives a good load, it is steeper, because it runs under a stronger slope than the previous trails. It is also the longest of the trails and very picturesque;
- from Rosa Peak, you can walk along the ridge to the highest point of Sochi (2509 meters) - the top of the "Stone Pillar" along the "Stone Pillar" trail of the same name. Then you can walk along the southern slope of the Aibga ridge along the hiking trails "Yarov" and "Yavor 2" to the park of waterfalls "Mendelikha". The Yavor trail is shorter in length;
- in the opposite (right) direction from Rosa Peak, you can walk along the Panorama trail that runs along the ridge.
After climbing up the trails (at the marks of 1350 and 2320 meters), you can go down for free on the gondola cable cars "Kavkazskiy express" and "Zapovedniy les" to the Rosa Plateau (Mountain Olympic Village) or on the chairlift "Wolf Rock" from the Gazebo to the Rosa Stadium. When going down, tickets are not checked. Attention! This condition may change at any time.
The bike path is accessible from the Roza Stadium to the Mountain Olympic Village (the Lake Traverse bike path) and then to the Arbor station (the B-One bike path).
In total, the Rosa Khutor resort has 60 kilometers of hiking trails of various levels of complexity.
There are also trails that are only accessible with guides: Kharginsky forest and Yuriev Khutor.
Trails to Rosa Khutor run through the forest and mountain roads. Therefore, for hiking, you should definitely choose comfortable shoes and clothes, take with you a sufficient amount of clean drinking water and something for a snack (it is more convenient to put all this in a backpack). On hot sunny days, you should also think about a headdress and sunscreen for exposed areas of the body.
It will not be possible to complete all the Rosa Khutor hiking routes in one day: both to climb Rosa Peak, and to go to the top of the Stone Pillar, and to go down to the Mendelikha Waterfall Park; therefore, it is best for lovers of hiking mountain routes to stop for a few days at Rosa Khutor.
You can stay at Rosa Khutor in two places:
1. In the lower reaches of the cable cars - in the Rosa Valley.
2. In the Mountain Olympic Village (Rosa Plato), at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level. It is better to stay at this altitude for those guests of the resort who want to immediately plunge into the epicenter of "mountain life"after leaving the hotel.

How to get to Rosa Khutor

The fastest and most convenient way to get from Sochi airport to Rosa Khutor is by taxi. You can order a taxi / transfer in advance, even from home. At any time of the day, at the airport, a driver will be waiting for you with a sign where your first and last name will be written. To order a taxi is enough to inform your flight details.
If you come by car, you can leave it at the lower station of the Rosa Khutor cable cars. There are also parking spaces throughout the Rosa Dolina and the Mountain Olympic Village (parking is paid).
Parking is available at the Rosa Stadium mark of 940 meters.
