Exhibition " History of the Peter and Paul Fortress»

The exhibition is dedicated to and tells the guests the history of the Peter and Paul Fortress, which is a historical and architectural monument and one of the main attractions of St. Petersburg.

The exhibition, located in several halls, presents more than 500 exhibits, including:

- archaeological finds: bricks, roof tiles, ends for paving bridges and various parts of the structures in the fortress, found on the territory of the Peter and Paul Fortress and which to a greater or lesser extent can characterize the level of development of construction equipment in the 18th and 19th centuries;

- architectural graphics;

- Russian and Swedish plans and maps of the early 18th century, showing the strategic location of the fortress;

- engravings, photographs and icons;

- collection of construction and carpentry tools;

- models and other materials on the basis of which the elements of fortifications that were lost during the more than three hundred years of the monument's existence were recreated.
