Rapallo - a resort city located in the Liguria region, in the East of the Italian Riviera between Santa Marherita Ligure and Zoagli.

The Central part of the coast of Rapallo
The Central part of the coast, Rapallo is characterized by the presence of the promenade - the promenade Vittorio Veneto (via Vittorio Veneto) is one of the popular places for walking and recreation in Rapallo.

Behind the castle, a little to the East is a small pebble beach.
From the beach, along the sea, is equipped unextended promenade with restaurants and outdoor Seating.
On the opposite, southwestern side of the promenade Vittorio Veneto, the place where the waterfront meets with the street Antonio Gramsci (Via Antonio Gramsci), in the area of 4 November (Piazza 4 Novembre) from the beaches and paid Parking.
The beaches are characterized by a small free gravel area and extensive, by the standards of Rapallo, paid Bangui with fine light-grey sand mixed with rare small pebbles, concrete part, a café and a swimming pool. It is the most popular area of the beach in Rapallo.
South along the coast, near the mouth of the river boat (Boate Il) is located the port of Rapallo, also located in the Central part of the city.
The port of Rapallo, a small seaport (Harbor, Marina, pier), consisting of public port and the tourist port "Carlo Riva" (Porto Carlo Riva).
This port is one of the largest and most prestigious ports of the Riviera di Levante and the tourist port Carlo Riva was the first tourist port in Italy.
From the port you can take boat trips to resorts such as mountain, Sestri Levante, Santa Margherita Ligure, the fashionable Portofino, the Cinque Terre, La Spezia, etc.

The southern part of the coast of Rapallo
For the port of Rapallo originates the southern part of the coast that stretches to the border with the neighbouring resort of Santa Margherita Ligure.
This stretch of coast is a suburb of Rapallo, and is called San Michele di pagana (San Michele di Pagana).
San Michele di Penaga is considered one of the most beautiful corners of Rapallo, where intertwined together clean sea water and thick vegetation. Villas scattered on the hill, and the old fishing huts on the beach give this little area a certain flair.
The coast of San Michele di pagana is divided into three smaller bays (bays): Pomaro (Pomaro) were Trelo or Travello (Trelo / Travello) and Rotting (Prelo), each of which has a small beach divided by a rocky hill from each other.
The first and largest of the three gulfs - the Gulf of Pomaro is the Central and main core of San Michele: there are a variety of commercial facilities and places for swimming.

The Eastern part of the coast of Rapallo
The Eastern part of the coast stretches from Rapallo theatre - auditorium delle Clarisse to the border with the town of Zoagli and includes two area: San Rocco and Le Naghe in Rapallo (San Rocco, Le Nagge).
The length of the regions along the sea is about a kilometer.
Coast line of the Eastern areas are characterized by the largest number of baths in Rapallo. Beaches, among which are mostly toll roads (Bangui), last practically a single strip along the entire coast of the district Nagge.
The few beaches there are in the district of San Rocco.
In addition to the beaches of San Rocco and Nagge attractions are:
theatre - auditorium delle Clarisse (Theater - Auditorium of the Clarisse), a building which was formerly the Church of the monastery complex Clarisse, built in 1633;
a garden of Erza Pound (Giardini Ezra Pound), with Seating and a fountain, decorated with sculptures of frogs;
- municipal Park "Luigi Casale" (Parco Comunale Luigi Casale), with paths and walking paths and a garden with children's Playground;
- the chapel of San Rocco (Cappella Di San Rocco), built in 1497 on a small hill;
historical buildings of villas, among which are:
- Villa Porticciolo (Villa Porticciolo), which now houses a restaurant with an outdoor terrace with sea views, and hosts weddings, banquets and various social events, and near the Villa there is a paid portion of the beach;
- Villa Tigullio (Tigullio Villa), currently, the walls of which are: the lace Museum (museo del merletto) and a library.
