Polyana 1460 (+1460) is one of the heights and cable car stations of the year-round mountain resort Krasnaya Polyana (formerly Gorki Gorod) in Krasnaya Polyana (Esto-Sadok).
Altitude 1460 is located on the Aibga ridge at an altitude of +1460 meters from sea level, in the Central Sector of the Krasnaya Polyana resort.
At an altitude of 1460 there are: observation decks and observation points, ski slopes, a cafe, a restaurant and toilets.
In winter: + evening skiing and snowboarding.
In summer: + gazebos for recreation, a medical center, hiking trails along mountain trails and a rope amusement park.
Cable cars of Polyana 1460
This height is a place for walking and recreation, as well as a connecting node of gondola cable cars (closed cabins with seats inside, with a capacity of up to 8 people) on the way to the peaks of the resort Polyana 2200 and Black Pyramid 2375.
At an altitude of 1460 are:
- the upper station of the cable car "Relict Forest" (K-2), which lifts guests from the territory of the resort "Polyana 960" to the bottom mark in 6 minutes;
- the lower station of the Vershina cable car (K-3), which lifts guests from this mark to the Polyana 2200 platform in 7 minutes.
Tracks at the Polyana 1460 station
On the Glade 1460 there is the lower part of the complex (red) ski slope "Panorama", which originates from the mark "Glade 2200" and during the descent from which two routes diverge, and then again pass into the Panorama route: the complex "String" and the very complex (black) "Snow". There is a freeride zone near the Snizhnaya highway.
The length of the Panorama route is 2541 meters. The height difference is 740 meters.
From Polyana 1460, the routes of medium complexity (blue) "Krasnaya Polyana" and "Relict Forest" start, which, as they descend, turn into a simple "Training", blue "Transit" and "Shoulder", red "Lake" and very difficult routes "Steep" and "Mogul". There are freeride zones near very difficult trails.
The length of the Krasnaya Polyana highway is 1177 meters with a height difference of 440 meters.
The length of the Relict Forest highway is 1875 meters with a height difference of 453 meters.
All routes of this sector of the resort end at +1130 meters (the upper station of the chairlift "Snow Star") and "Polyana 960".
Also, most of these trails have artificial snow and lighting, and are suitable for evening skiing.
The best time to visit the slopes of the Krasnaya Polyana resort as a ski resort is from December to March. Sometimes the season starts in November and ends at the end of May (June). But there are also rains at the height of the season, then the snow lies only on the upper marks of the slopes.
The opening and closing dates of the ski season are determined by the administration of the Krasnaya Polyana mountain Resort, depending on weather conditions and snow cover. Observation deck on the Polyana 1460
There are several observation points at the 1460-meter mark, the most popular of which is an equipped observation deck located between the cable car stations.

Rope Adventure Park
The rope adventure park is a place for family recreation with hanging routes of various levels of difficulty and observation platforms fixed on tree poles at a height of 5 to 15 meters.
The park is located on the territory of two picturesque sites - the southern one (with routes for the whole family) and the northern one (with more complex route options).

Summer hiking trails from Polyana 1460
In the summer season, hiking trails along mountain trails (ecotropes) run from Glade 1460 through the resort.
Hiking routes at the resort have different levels of difficulty: from easy (green) to very difficult (black).
Routes from the 1460 meter mark:
- easy route No. 9 "Relict forest", the length of which is 900 meters with a height difference of 50 meters (+1400 m / + 1500 m). Passage time: 30 minutes. How to get there: Glade 1460, follow the signs.
The trail passes in the middle mountain zone of beech forests among majestic fir trees, whose age reaches several centuries. There are plants endemic to the Western Caucasus, some of which are listed in the Red Book of Russia.
You can pick blackberries in the forest, and there are gazebos on the trail where you can have a picnic. This easy route is suitable for the whole family in the summer heat;
- complex route No. 10 "Aibginsky spring", the length of which is 4300 meters with a height difference of 300 meters (+1316 m / + 1476 m). Passage time: 2 hours. How to get there: Glade 1460, follow the signs.
The ecotrope is located in a mixed forest: centuries-old firs, eastern beeches, willows, hazel and Pontic rhododendron - an ancient plant that successfully survived the Ice Age.
The route offers a panorama of the village of Krasnaya Polyana. The final point of the route is the stream "Aibginsky spring", which is formed from the melting of snow.
The route starts with a steep descent past a rope park and artificial lakes. You should also count your strength on the way back;
- a very complex ecotrope No. 13 "Panorama", the length of which is 2400 meters with a height difference of 700 meters (+1460 m / + 2200 m). The passage time is 2 hours.
The route connects two heights of the resort: Glade 1460 and Glade 2200. You can either go up or down it, i.e. you can choose whether to take the route from the bottom up or from the top down.
During the journey, guests pass several high-altitude areas, starting from a mixed forest, through krivolesye and to alpine meadows. The route goes along a ski track, so it is not suitable for hot summer days;
- the route of medium complexity No. 5 "Polyana 1460", the length of which is 1800 meters with a height difference of 520 meters (+1460 m / + 960 m). Passage time: 2 hours.
The route connects two mountain resorts: Polyana 1460 and Polyana 960. You can either go down or up it, i.e. you can choose: go the route from top to top or from bottom to top.
The route runs along a dam and a broad-leaved forest.
To Glade 1460 from the second level of the resort - Glade 960, you can walk along trails of different levels of difficulty, as well as descend from Glade 1460.
Also, various hiking routes run throughout the entire territory of the Krasnaya Polyana resort and, visiting and combining them, you can reach any heights and visit the natural objects of the resort: Polikar Waterfall, Bear Waterfall, rhododendron Valley, Polyana 2200 peak, Black Pyramid peak, Aibga pass, Sedoy Pass, Iceberg Lake, Kholodnoye Lake, etc.

How to climb to the Glade 1460
You can do this on two gondola cable cars from the lower station of the resort's cable cars: Krasnaya Polyana K-1 and Relict Forest K-2.
The K-1 cable car starts from the lower station of the cable cars of the Krasnaya Polyana resort, located at the Polyana 540 mark. It lifts guests to the station "Polyana 960". At the Polyana 960 station, it is necessary to transfer to the K-2 cable car, which will raise to the "1460 meters" mark.
If you climb from the Polyana 960 mark, then you should go by one cable car-K-2.
You can go up and down on the cable cars all year round with walking tickets, and in the winter season also with a ski pass.
A visit to the height of 1460 meters is included in the price of all walking tickets valid up to the Glade 2200.
In the summer season, you can walk along the ecotropes to the 1,460-meter mark.
