Port of Rapallo (marina)

Port of Rapallo is a small seaport (harbor, marina), consisting of a public port and the tourist port “Carlo Riva” (Porto Carlo Riva).

This port is one of the largest and most prestigious ports of the Riviera di Levante.

The port is located in the southern part of the coast of Rapallo, near the historical and tourist centre, near the mouth of the river boat (Il Boate).

The Creator of the tourist port is the engineer Carlo Riva.

Following the example of Pierre Canto, Creator of the port of Cannes, in 1971, Carlo Riva became interested in the idea of transportation of the pearls of the French Riviera on the coast of the Gulf of Tigullio. An ambitious project worthy of the best Italian nautical tradition, was born thanks to the tenacity, experience and, above all, passion and desire to bring the case to the end.

The dream became a reality and, on July 26, 1975, the new Marina and boats have been successfully opened.

Thus was born the first tourist port in Italy.

Today white yachts and small boats rocking on the noble marine waters along the quays of the port of Rapallo.
