Krasnaya Polyana (formerly Gorki Gorod) is a year-round mountain resort located in the foothills of the Main Caucasian Ridge, the Aibga Ridge, in Krasnaya Polyana (Esto-Sadok).
The objects of the Krasnaya Polyana resort are located at various elevations: from 540 meters from sea level (Glade 540) to 2200-2375 meters (Glade 2200 and the top of the Black Pyramid).
For those who want to stay at the Krasnaya Polyana resort, there are two levels (two heights), on which all year-round accommodation facilities are located: hotels, houses and apartments. These are heights:
- Glade 540, located in the lower reaches of the resort in Esto-Sadka;
- Glade 960, located directly on the Aibga ridge at altitudes of 840-960 meters above sea level.
In Polyana 540, the entire infrastructure is concentrated near the Mzymta River. There are shops and salons, cafes and restaurants, a park, parking lots, there are museums, a concert and entertainment arena, a Sochi casino, a shopping center, children's and sports grounds, recreation areas, a fair, as well as accommodation facilities. Public buses from Sochi and Adler also run in Polyana 540. There are two railway stations nearby.
In the Glade 960 there is also all the infrastructure necessary for a good rest. At this height there are the lower reaches of the ski slopes and the training slope, lifts, baths, parks, entertainment, cafes and restaurants, shops, hotels and apartments, parking lots.
It is better to stay in Polyana 960 for those guests of the resort who want to immediately plunge into the epicenter of "mountain life" after leaving the hotel, and skiers and snowboarders get the opportunity, after leaving the hotel, to be near the ski slopes and ski lifts (ski-in / ski-out). While those who live in Polyana 540, in order to access the trails and infrastructure at the heights of the Krasnaya Polyana resort, they still need to climb the Krasnaya Polyana cable car (K-1), the lower station of which is located in Polyana 540.
Free access to the K-1 cable car and a transfer to Polyana 540 are provided for everyone who stays in the accommodation facilities at Polyana 960.
