Radspielerhaus in Munich - Palais Rechberg

The Radspielerhaus is the former Palais Rechberg in Munich.

The Palace was built in 1678 on the site of two other buildings and was a complex that was modified after 1817 Jean Baptiste Metivier, who lived in the house.

During its history the Baroque Palace changed several owners.

In 1827-1828 years lived in the house of German poet Heinrich Heine, a guest who visited and lived with his family Tiutchev.

The building is named in honor of Joseph Radspieler, who bought the house in 1848 and opened in house workshop for the production of the preference of furniture which is supplied, including the castles of king. Later the house was rebuilt, and since then, has the style of early classicism, with partially rough finish of the first floor and a few decorative Bay Windows.

Today the house is a four-story four-sided complex with a courtyard.

In 2014, the reconstruction of part of the former Palace in the commercial, business and residential building.

Notable features of the structure: figure of a Saint in a niche on the façade and plaques on the façade with information about the construction of the building and staying in the house of Heine.

In the courtyard of the complex of buildings is a fountain, which was probably created by the German sculptor Roman Anton Boos.

Ratchprarop is located in the centre of the historic old town of Munich, at the address: Backenstose, 7 (Hackenstraße).
