The house-Museum of A. H. Tammsaare is a cultural, historical and ethnographic museum dedicated to the classic of Estonian literature of the 20th century Anton Tammsaare (real name Hansen / Hansen).
The house-Museum is located in Esto-Sadka (Krasnaya Polyana) on the right bank of the Mzymta River, downstream from the Krasnaya Polyana ski resort (Gorki Gorod, Mountain Carousel).
A. H. Tammsaare was an outstanding Estonian novelist, playwright and author of the epic novel "Truth and Justice", which brought him European fame.
In May 1912, Tammsaare came to a high-mountain village (before that, he had brought him to Sochi for three months) to be treated for tuberculosis and settled in the house of the local intelligentsia - the Vaarman family. Tammsaare stayed in Esto-Sadka from May to October 1912.
The stay of A. H. Tammsaare in Esto-Sadok left a deep mark in the history of the community of Estonian immigrants, whose ancestors (36 families) came to the Caucasus and founded the village of Esto-Sadok (Estonian Sadik, Estonka) at the end of the 19th century (1886). On December 29, 1912, at a gathering of citizens, the village of Estonsky was renamed Esto-Sadok.
During his stay in the Estonian Kindergarten, Tammsaare collected material about his impressions in a new place and the life of his compatriots, about participating in a rural song festival, at which he himself played in a play, about the difficult but well-fed life of Estonians in the Caucasus. Tammsaare wrote his notes at home for the newspaper "Pyaevalecht" and in the essays "Estonian Settlement on Krasnaya Polyana" and "From the Black Sea coast". The writer also collected material for the future "Sochi" story "Shades", translated into Estonian by F. Dostoevsky wrote two short stories "The Boy and the Butterfly" and "Playing the Canel".
In 1978, in honor of the 100th anniversary of the birth of A. H. Tammsaare, a memorial plaque was installed on the Vaarmans ' house, where the writer lived. On August 6, 1988, in memory of the classics of Estonian literature, the memorial house-museum of A. H. Tammsaare was created and opened in the house.
A small one-story cute house has an adjacent territory-a garden, where there is a memorial stone "To Aitsu Pai, the founder of the museum with gratitude".

The museum's exposition tells about the Estonian immigrants and the history of the village of Esto-Sadok.
The house-museum still preserves the atmosphere of the 19th and 20th centuries, giving its guests an idea of the tastes, preferences and lifestyle of Estonians in Estosadka.
The museum presents exhibits that tell about the traditions and crafts of the villagers: some household items, kitchen utensils, a spinning wheel, national musical instruments, clothing, shoemaking equipment, handmade woven products. The museum also has photos and documents depicting events from the life of the village: christenings, weddings, seeing off to the army, traditional holidays.
From the first essay by A. H. Tammsaare: "Sochi surpasses everything in beauty that I have met on the coast. There are beautiful parks, luxury hotels (the"Caucasian Riviera" with a theater), the coast is high, colorful reviews open in places; nearby there are sulfur springs, several waterfalls, a number of places of interest, poetic and rich in southern vegetation."
Currently, the house-museum of A. H. Tammsaare is a monument of history and culture of regional significance; it plays the role of the cultural, historical and ethnographic center of Krasnaya Polyana.
