Hundskugel House in Munich

Hundskugel - one of the oldest surviving town houses in Munich.

On the house is the date "1440".

The house today is a historical monument under the name "Haus zur Hundskugel" - the Old city house Hundskugel.

Since 1983 and until his death in 2005, Rudolf Moshammer, German fashion designer, was the owner of the building. Moshammer bequeathed the building to the city of Munich on the condition that it will be used for social purposes.

The walls of the building was occupied by a traditional Munich restaurant (restaurant) with a Bavarian cuisine, until 2011. It was visited by Fyodor Tyutchev and Heinrich Heine.

Today the building houses the social Fund with a place for public meetings, which was first documented in the years 1484-1485.

Building "Hundskugel" is a corner situated in the historic old town of Munich, between the streets Checkinstance (Hackenstraße) and Huttenstrasse (Hotterstrasse) at: Hotterstrasse, 18.
