Son Caliu is a small residential and tourist area located in the municipality of Calvia in the southwestern part of the island of Mallorca, 13 km from the centre of island's capital, Palma.
On the South side of the coast Dream Caliu borders the Spa town of Palmanova, and the North-East with the lower part of Costa den Blanes (Costa d'en Blanes).
Currently Sleep Caliu is not so popular destination among visitors to the island of Majorca as its neighbouring resorts, however, within the area of son Caliu is a sandy beach with all facilities, a small sand-and-pebble coves and accommodation, cafes and restaurants.
Sleep Caliu is a peaceful place to stay, while nearby there is a well developed resort town of Palmanova, also in walking distance is the resort town of Portals nous, famous for its Marina Puerto Portals, is the most fashionable harbour of Mallorca and one of the most prestigious in the Mediterranean.

Coast Sleep Caliu predominantly rocky and steep, however, along the coast there is a beach, also small areas without facilities to which access is possible.
The Beach Of Son Caliu
The beach of son Caliu (Platja de Son Caliu) is the only well-maintained and, accordingly, the main beach area of son Caliu.
On the beach slope of fine white sand, equipped with ramps into the water. There is a cafe-restaurant and trees, giving shade to part of the beach strip. Sea water is clean, with a sharp descend.
On both sides of the beach of son Caliu, surrounded by gently sloping coast with rocky formations, which can also be accommodated.
The beach is a Cove, and in marine waters where the possibility of setting the ships at anchor, but due to strong winds it is not recommended. The bottom depth in the Bay ranges from 3 to 5 meters.
The length of the beach of son Caliu is around 80 meters and its average width is 15 meters.

Rocky coast Dream Caliu
Behind the beach of son Caliu, in an easterly direction along the coast (towards Costa den Blanes), there are two small sandy and rocky beach with no amenities.
This coastline stretches from the beach of son Caliu and to the Cape of Punta des Carabiners (Punta des Carabiners).

The Cape des Carabiners coast is characterized by steep low slope, where it meets the coast area of Costa den Blanes and Cape Punta Negra (Punta Negra).
