Les Meravelles is a resort area, along with neighbouring districts and cities, part of a large coastal area of Playa de Palma.
Is Forest Mariveles between the resort towns of can Pastilla (North-West side of the coast) and El Arenal (South-West side of the coast).
Urbanization was created in the 1930-ies of the promoter Mikel Pallisa, on the land belonging to the estate of the Sleep Sunyer and was known as Les Meravelles.
Initially, the district was created with a residential purpose, but the growth of population and development, began to dominate the tourist value that has led to the fact that currently the Forest Maravelas is a popular tourist destination with beach, promenade and the well-developed infrastructure with plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants and accommodation facilities.
The beach at Les Meravelles
Along the entire district, more than 2 kilometers, lies the beach strip.
The beach in the Forest-Mariveles is a Central part of the long beach Playa de Palma (Dresses de Palma, Playa de Palma / Platja de Palma), which covers the coast of the three resort areas: can Pastilla- North-Western tip of the beach, Forest Maravelas - Central part of the beach and S'arenal - South-Eastern extremity of the beach. Between the resort areas there is no clear visible boundaries, working together in a common tourist area - one of the busiest in Mallorca.
On the beach of light sand, from loose to more dense. Sea water is clean, sandy bottom, depth comes rather abruptly.
In the high beach season in Playa de Palma has all the necessary infrastructure: sunbeds and sun umbrellas (beach chair or umbrella 6 euros), urn, soul, beach cafes, bars, playgrounds, a dedicated area for water activities, there are monitoring services and access for people with disabilities.

Along the promenade along the Playa de Palma (from can Pastilla to S'arenal and back), runs a tourist train. The fare is 4.50 euros.

The Church Of San Fernando
The Church of St. Fernando (Parroquia de San Ferran) was built in 1940 by architect and urban planner, Francesca Casas. In 1971, the Church was elevated to the rank of parish.

Church and Museum Franciscanos TOR La Porciuncula
A modern Church with a circular plan and a large number of stained glass Windows, through which it is also called crystal.
The construction of the chapel began in 1914, the sanctuary was consecrated on 25 August 1915 and dedicated to our lady of the Angels. In subsequent years, the monastery was built, which became the school of community for the training of Ministers of the Franciscan order.
Currently, there is a small Museum of archaeology and Ethnology of the Franciscans. The entrance ticket to the Museum and Church is 5 euros.

Bars, pubs and clubs located throughout the district Forest Mariveles and the surrounding area, however, the General atmosphere of the beer boom and fun is to go to the South-Western part of the resort, where there are:
