Isla Mujeres (the Island of Women, Isla Mujeres) is a beautiful island with beaches and attractions, which is located in the Caribbean Sea near the mainland, opposite Cancun.

The most striking attraction of the island is its beaches, which are among the best on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, have snow-white sand washed by clean and transparent sea waters.

The most visited, beautiful and wide beaches of Isla Mujeres, with all the necessary infrastructure and hotels near the beaches, are located on the northern tip of the island. There are also narrow beaches on the western side of the island.
The approximate cost of renting two sunbeds and an umbrella from the sun on the beaches of the island of Women is from 200 pesos per hour and from 600 pesos per day. Natural protection from the sun on the beaches are palm trees, under which you can sit on your own towel.
These beaches are good because waves are rare in these places, since this part of the island is protected from the open ocean by the mainland (nearby Cancun).
Here you can go diving and snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, sailing, rowing, canoeing, rent a yacht and go to sea.
The eastern part and the southern tip of the island are open to ocean winds and waves. 3The coast is mostly rocky and rocky-sandy.

Central Beach (Playa Centro)
The central beach (Playa Centro) is the closest beach to the ferry pier.
The beach is wide and marked with a "Blue Flag".
There is light fine sand on the beach, there are beach cafes and restaurants.
The approach to the sea is gentle. The sea water is clean and transparent.

Behind the Central Beach there is a driveway with sidewalks, along which there are shops, souvenir shops and cafes.
Further south along the coast from the Central beach there are berths, where there are also exits to the sea and beach cafes and restaurants.
North Beach (Playa Norte)
The Northern beach (Playa Norte) is the best and most famous beach of the island of Women. According to the rating of some publications, this beach is included in the list of the best beaches of the Caribbean Sea.
This beach is the longest on the island. The beach is marked with a "Blue Flag".
The beach is wide with snow-white soft and dense sand.
All the necessary infrastructure sits on the beach: sun beds and umbrellas, showers and toilets (free of charge), urns, rescue and first aid services, beach bars and restaurants, some water activities and massage services. The beach is suitable for people with disabilities. There is parking near the beach.
The sea water is clean and transparent; the approach to the sea is gentle; the depth comes gradually. Small yachts are peacefully rocking behind the buoys, which add even more picturesqueness.
The Northern beach includes the small beach of Playa Los Cocos, which, although it has its own name, is considered part of the Northern Beach.

The best hotel near the Northern Beach is the 4-star Mia Reef Isla Mujeres Cancun All Inclusive Resort, which is located at the eastern end of the beach, on the small island of Islote El Yunque, connected by a bridge to the island of Isla Mujeres.

Hermosa Caleta Beach
South-east of the Northern Beach is a small beach-Hermosa Caleta Bay (Hermosa Caleta).
There is light sand on the beach. The approach to the sea is gentle.
Both on the beach and in the sea there are rocks and algae.
Media Luna Beach (Playa Media Luna)
Media Luna Beach (Playa Media Luna) or Half Moon is "wild" and is located just south along the east coast from Hermosa Caleta Beach.
This beach is also called "Playa Pancholo".
The beach is surrounded by small rocks that block it from large waves.
There are no facilities on the beach, and the sea water may be more active and cooler than on the northern beaches of the island.

On the east side of Mujeres Island there is also a small rocky-sandy beach near Villa La Bella. You can come to the beach with dogs (Pets Beach).
Beaches of the western side of Muherem Island
On the western side of Isla Mujeres, the beaches are small, mostly narrow and rather modest, compared to the northern beaches of the island, but quieter and less crowded. The beaches also have some beach infrastructure, cafes and bars.
The beaches are named after nearby hotels, clubs, restaurants, etc.: Playa Albatros, marked with a blue flag, Playa Tiburon, Playa Pescador, Playa Lancheros, Playa Indios and Playa Garrafon, located a little further (south) from the rest of the western beaches of the island.
On the beaches there is light sand, there are areas of rocky coast with equipped descents into the sea waters.
